Acupuntura

Is a form of treatment that involves inserting very thin needles through a person’s skin at specific points on the body, to various depths.

Ozone Therapy

This refers to the process of administering ozone gas into your body to treat a disease or wound. Ozone is a colorless gas made up of three atoms of oxygen (O3). It can be used to treat medical conditions by stimulating the immune system. It can also be used to disinfect and treat disease.

Prolotherapy

Also called proliferation therapy is an injection-based treatment used in chronic musculoskeletal conditions. It has been characterised as an alternative medicine practice.

Cellular Nutrition

Is a science based proprietary blend of high quality plant-based nutrient supplements that act at the cell level to help keeping more body cells alive and functioning properly, which leads to a healthier body, more energy and ideal weight. The body cells form tissues – tissues form organs – organs form the human body, therefore less cells dying and more cells staying alive and healthy is empowering the human body to get to the optimal health, weight and energy by itself. Cellular nutrition helps regenerate antioxidant activity within the cells, supporting normal mitochondrial energy and protecting cells against oxidative damage that accumulates during aging.

Within Homotoxicology, we promote detoxification of the organism at a humoral level, at a matrix level and at a cellular level. We base our analysis for the prescription of homotoxicological medicine of the 6 phases of Homotoxicology, promoting that the patient excrete his own homotoxins in a safe and effective way.
Classical Homeopathy and Homotoxicology base their therapeutic effects on the principle of the lowest curative dose. This principle was proposed by Arndt-Schulz and it talks about the relationship between the different levels of dilution and activity at organism level. We can sum this up in the following:
Small stimuli can stimulate vital functions.
Moderate stimuli can accelerate vital functions.
Strong stimuli can act as inhibitors of vital functions, and very strong stimuli can suspend vital functions.

This is the basis for the integrative approach we offer to our guests, and along with the other therapeutic strategies, the guests will see themselves benefited with the multidisciplinary approach, and will experience what Functional Medicine is all about.

Herbalism

Is the study of botany and use of plants intended for medicinal purposes. Plants have been the basis for medical treatments through much of human history, and such traditional medicine is still widely practiced today. Modern medicine makes use of many plant-derived compounds as the basis for evidence-based pharmaceutical drugs. Although herbalism may apply modern standards of effectiveness testing to herbs and medicines derived from natural sources, few high-quality clinical trials and standards for purity or dosage exist. The scope of herbal medicine is sometimes extended to include fungal and bee products, as well as minerals, shells and certain animal parts.

Herbal medicine may also refer to phytomedicine, phytotherapy, or paraherbalism, which are alternative and pseudoscientific practices of using unrefined plant or animal extracts as supposed medicines or health-promoting agents. Phytotherapy differs from plant-derived medicines in standard pharmacology because it does not isolate or standardize biologically active compounds, but rather relies on the false belief that preserving various substances from a given source with less processing is safer or more effective — for which there is no evidence. Herbal dietary supplements most often fall under the phytotherapy category

Physical Therapy (PT)

Also known as physiotherapy, is one of the allied health professions that, by using mechanical force and movements (bio-mechanics or kinesiology), manual therapy, exercise therapy, and electrotherapy, remediates impairments and promotes mobility and function. Physical therapy is used to improve a patient’s quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, physical intervention, and patient education. It is performed by physical therapists (known as physiotherapists in many countries).
In addition to clinical practice, other activities encompassed in the physical therapy profession include research, education, consultation and administration. Physical therapy services may be provided as primary care treatment or alongside, or in conjunction with, other medical services.
Sports Medicine Massage Therapists are all registered practitioners. Massage therapy improves the functioning of the circulatory, lymphatic, muscular, skeletal and nervous systems and may improve the rate at which the body recovers from injury and illness. Massage involves holding, causing movement of soft tissue, and/or applying pressure to the body. Therapeutic massage involves the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress and to promote health and wellness.

Colon Hydrotherapy

Colonic irrigation also known as colon hydrotherapy, colonic hydrotherapy, or a “colonic”, is a treatment which is used “to wash out the contents of the large bowel by means of copious enemas using water or other medication.”

Radiofrequency Ablation (or RFA)

Is a procedure used to reduce pain. An electrical current produced by a radio wave is used to heat up a small area of nerve tissue, thereby decreasing pain signals from that specific area.

Rife believed bacteria or viruses inside tumors emitted specific electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs). … In the 1930s, he developed another machine called the Rife Frequency Generator. He claimed it produced low-energy radio waves with the same frequency as cancer-causing microbes.

Lymphatic Drainage

Is a gentle, rhythmicalmassage treatment performed by a specially trainedlymphatic massage therapist to stimulate the circulation of lymph fluid around the body. This helps to rapidly speed up the removal of wastes and toxins from a sluggish lymphatic system.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Also known as autologous conditioned plasma, is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from whole blood, centrifuged to remove red blood cells. Evidence for benefit is poor.
As a concentrated source of blood plasma and autologous conditioned plasma, PRP contains several different growth factors and other cytokines

Stem Cells

Stem cells have the potential to develop into many different types of cells in the body and work as a repair system for the body.
There are two broad types of stem cells: embryonic stem cells, which are isolated from the inner cell mass of blastocysts, and adult stem cells, which are found in various tissues. In adult organisms, stem cells and progenitor cells act as a repair system for the body, replenishing adult tissues. In a developing embryo, within stem cells there are different types cells—ectoderm, endoderm and mesoderm (see induced pluripotent stem cells)—but also maintain the normal turnover of regenerative organs, such as blood, skin, or intestinal tissues.
There are three known accessible sources of autologous adult stem cells in humans: bone marrow, adipose tissue, and blood. Stem cells can also be taken from umbilical cord blood just after birth. Of all stem cell types, autologous harvesting involves the least risk. By definition, autologous cells are obtained from one’s own body, just as one may bank his or her own blood for elective surgical procedures.
Adult stem cells are frequently used in various medical therapies (e.g., bone marrow transplantation). Stem cells can now be artificially grown and transformed (differentiated) into specialized cell types with characteristics consistent with cells of various tissues such as muscles or nerves. Embryonic cell lines and autologous embryonic stem cells generated through somatic cell nuclear transfer or dedifferentiation have also been proposed as promising candidates for future therapies.[1] Research into stem cells grew out of findings by Ernest A. McCulloch and James E. Till at the University of Toronto in the 1960s.

    Govacationmaya, friendly and professional staff

I want to say that Go Vacation Maya is a great company, mainly because of their friendly and professional staff. I bought my condo in Playa Del Carmen with their support, and since the buying process is pretty much different in Mexico than in Canada, I was grateful for their help in that process. It feels good to work with people that you can trust. I highly recommend their services.

    5/5 Stars.

It was a very relaxing vacation!

Miriam was great at email communication although we did not meet her in person. She had a concierge who met us at the condo and showed us around. The concierge was then available by email if we needed anything. The condo was a little tricky to find in the dark as the man at the gate of Puerto Adventuras didn’t know the exact location of Costa Brava. We were able to borrow a local phone and call the concierge, who then directed us. The condo was perfect for 2 couples as we had our own space and bathrooms. The outdoor space was fantastic as was the pool and the view. It was a very relaxing vacation! We loved the view most of all, then the pool. The apartment was very nicely furnished. My only suggestion is to add some padding to the twin beds and grease the fan in that room as it squeaks. Also the water pressure in the master bath isn’t too good.
